I went to an open call for modeling, what will happen next?

i recently went to a modeling open call at a major new york agency. i didnt bring any photos since i didnt know you needed to bring any. basically the guy told me he llkes my height since im 6%26#039;3%26#039;%26#039;(male) and he pretty much likes the way i look. he told me to come back with some polaroids so that he can see how i look on film.





what will happen next if he likes the polaroids?





p.s there were also other people at the open call and they brought photos but the scout just told them that they are not right for the agency.

he doesnt want polaroids. he wants a professional modeling portfolio. get with a pro photog in your area and have one made. asap.

Reply:Dont listen to them, i am a model. Bring a POLOROID. If it is a good agency they will be able to tell if they want you from a poloroid. Also at castings when you try out for jobs they take only a poloroid so you have to look good in it. Next if they like you they will ask you to join their agency. You will have to sign a contract but make sure you have a lawyer look through it for scams and stuff. After you are in they will call you and send you out to castings. At castings they will take poloroids and if they pick you they will call. If they dont call after 3 days, they didnt pick you. If you dont get the first couple or ten jobs eep trying. Build up you portfolio with small jobs. Also non profit jobs. When people see how much experiance you have no matter how small the job they will pick you, Good luck
Reply:don%26#039;t listen to the guy who said he wants professional photos. they want to see how you photograph with the bare minimums. you know no good quality photographer, no editing, and just a polaroid. Ok so bring in the photos(try to have a little variety in them). You%26#039;re very luck because since they want you back it means you have potential and they see something in you that they like. If they like the photos then they will probably sign you. If this happens they will train you a bit, make you a portfolio, and then try to send you on casting calls so you can get hired for jobs (if the people like you).


Modeling isn%26#039;t as easy as people think but some people are just naturals!
